Inserting a nuclear explosion into the peaceful background scenery of the national morning news program: Priceless

This happened back in June 2007. The group, Ztohoven, won an award of 333,000 koruna ($19,000) from the Czech National Gallery and ČEZ (Czech Power Company) for the work, called “Media Reality.”

The work aimed to highlight the threat of media manipulation of reality. Some have compared it with Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds broadcast. They also however face possible prosecution.
